Potomac River Watch is a weekly public service announcement, which runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. It reports on recreational conditions for the Potomac River and its tributaries, tells of local events along the river, and provides water quality and water safety information. Volunteers throughout the Potomac basin are contacted each week by Commission staff for first-hand information on their area of the river. In addition, the report makes use of blogs and outreach from guide services, state natural resources departments, and other sources.
