PCV Speaker Series: Potomac, A History of the River and Land

January 16 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

Please join us for a fascinating program from Montgomery History, the county’s historical society, as we explore the Potomac River and how it impacted local and American history.

The Potomac River, the dominant geological feature of Montgomery County, has also played a dominant role in American history. It was the first interstate waterway in North America, the spawning ground for the Constitution, and a protective barrier in the Civil War.

To travelers today, it is a time tunnel to 250 million years of history.  Come learn more about all of this history and then see Potomac and surrounding areas in a new way.

Registation is  strongly suggested.

All are welcome to attend this free and open-to-all talk.

Members who need transportation should indicate that they need a ride when they register.  If you are able to offer a ride, please let us know that as well.
